A painting-in-progress. This the so-far unfinished birthday present for my father. May as well post something.

The painting depicts the epic duel between Cuchulainn and his best friend, Ferdia, in what might have been a cautionary tale about the scheming and machinations of women. I personally like how it's looking so far, and I seem to have gotten over my phobia of applying green anywhere on the human body in a painting.

Kudos to my bro', Neil who gave me a great tip in brush strokes.

my ps3 is having an identity crisis. it thinks its a ps2. it won't play ps3 games or blu-rays but plays ps2 games and dvds no bother. its also very sensitive, turning on when someone walks past it. maybe it has an inferiority complex, couldn't take the pressure.

my phone is a prick. it turns on and off at will, deletes and rearranges my messages and takes photos only when it feels like it. it tries to unsettle me sometimes by flickering its button lights brightly for hours, like horror film lighting or something. dick.

without warning, my laptop shuts down when it overheats. i have no say in this. it has the courtesy to save my stuff before shutdown, but if i dare ask it to reactivate before its ready i'm met with blunt refusal and loss of saved stuff, like its saying "well, if you're gonna be like that...".

my dvd player won't acknowledge the existence of some of my dvds. others it won't play, stating plainly that they're "wrong". art is subjective, douchebag.

my mp3 player was installed with consciousness stem cells and attuned to my frequency by buddhist monks, so it knows just the right songs for my moods and senses when i desire a particular one. thats why its a zen.

- BP claim ownership of the wind and declare war on the ocean. all refreshing summer breezes are now taxed.

This week I are been mostly making these big letters spelling "YFO". They were for my band's photo shoot. We did it Thursday night. The letters are made of backing board/ card. Just under 2 feet high, 17 cm deep. Speaking of the band, we've been selected to play the Guinness "Our Thursdays" showcase, this thursday the 29th July. It's text vote so the more people who go the better chance we have of getting through to the final. It's on in The Cuckoo's Nest, Tallaght. Free in. Door's are 8.30pm. Come along if you can, should be a fun night!

Had a blast with this, its Animal the crazy drummer from the Muppets, I did it for my mate who is also a crazy drummer, he recently bought a van for gigin and camping etc and wanted me to put something together for him, the dude loves this guy so thats reason enough for me! A small insight into the process of the painting, nothing fancy at all and I don't really paint but it was good practice, sorry bought the crap pics, I own an awful camera! Slan!!!

The title to this post is a lyric from the Manic's song "Kevin Carter". That song didn't inspire this picture however, it just popped into my head when I was thinking of a title for the post. What did inspire it was (obviously) surveillance, and also the new breakthroughs in Augmented Reality, and things like the fact that even though I'm not on Facebook myself, I'm still on it, loads of me, in other people's photos. Sorry I'm late... again. These are some of the images for Orla's project (blogspot only let's me upload 5 per post, the others aren't great anyway). We had to do some work based on our favourite childhood story. I still don't know if I passed. Probably not.

The story is one of the legends about Fionn McCumhail, and how he saved his village from a monster that for 23 years, would put them all to sleep on Oiche Samhian and wreck the place. Fionn keeps himself awake by cutting himself with his spear, and kills the creature.

All are a4 size which explains some of the loss of quality when you enlarge them.

This be the aniamtion show reel i have done of late. animation is hard to do and this will be updated with the animations from the student film im doning right now, anyway il just lets you watch it , get your popcorn ready and enjoy!!! well its probably shorter than the time it would take to make popcorn. just get the pre-packaged stuff, its not as good but itl do, well alot of the time it dose the job. did you ever go to the cinema and get like loads of pop corn and well its enough for a couple of people but you tend to eat it all and by the end of the bag your lips have been exposed to so much salt that there kinda swollen.....and its hard to talk, well thats what i do. when i have the money, that stuff is very a lot of money.

did i put this up already?... its a collage of me head. i'm made of words, words are symbols, symbols are concepts, i'm not my face, my face symbolizes the true, intangible essence of me... yeah, that's what it means...?

is there an opposite to lucid dreaming? like being awake, and aware you're awake, but feel light and not completely there, sense and nonsense swapping roles at random, seemingly missing scenes? can you become so familiar with and accustomed to your subconscious symbolic world that your conscious waking world loses validity in being your definite reality? or does the amplified subconscious leak into the waking world opening your perception of reality wider to include more of your subconscious? further investigation is needed.

we had to do arts of buildings around town for college. i did do these.

its some sort of church thing coming alive like a creature.

its a bell tower thing coming alive like some sort of frankenstein or other.

its a lady statue thing all coming alive like a demon and its gonna eat your nads or something.

i'm too busy right now to explore thinkings, and too disensomethinged to something... Bah!... y'know?

Nubian Princess

These are 4, A2 size paintings I did for a college project based around buildings in the Dublin City area, I chose to base my pieces on a Nubian princess statue situated in front of the Shelbourn Hotel, have to say pretty cool statues! These were alot of fun to do!

I wish I had interesting things to say like Geoff!

busy busy busy! i could be doing more college work. but do i really want to? anyway, whats been happenin'? volcanoes in iceland. isn't iceland a volcano? the news said DOOM CLOUD, but all i saw was pretty blue, planeless skies. lovely. maybe we should slow our world down and let nature do its thing more often. remember SNOWPOCALYPSE? wasnt that wonderful? we should make the most of this situation, play in the ash, make ash angels and ashmen, leave your rubbish out to be broken down by the acid rain. if worms can live by volcanic vents at the bottom of the ocean then surely we can live with a sulphurous cloud. we're better than worms aren't we?

Aloha peeps and peepettes birthday gift for my mate, he was happy with it so I'm happy with it.

He's a big fan of Dexter so I drew this up for him, markers, water colour and some acrylic paint splatter on the frame! I actually also drew wash from Firefly but didnt frame it!

I think a proper Dexter comic would be so cool, so Itried to nail the likeness, if it was a comic, IDW would prob do it!, I don't mind I'll draw it for them...

We're having such good weather these days, I'd love to just chill with beers drawing outside but not so with all these college projects, lets hope the weather lasts for the summer, when I'll more than likely have no job and lots of free time! Fingers cross the sun stays which is doubtful seeing as we live in a rainy pooey country, stupid crappy weather! Actually Dexter lives in sunny Miami! I'm moving there!
